Nevada Humane Society: Bringing Animals and People Together Since 1932
NHS Goes Wild

For nearly a decade the Nevada Humane Society has been accepting, treating, rehabilitating and releasing injured, sick and orphaned wildlife in Northern Nevada.

Rapidly encroaching development has resulted in a greater need for wildlife treatment services. Our federal- and state-licensed rehabilitator directs trained staff and volunteers in the assessment, treatment and care of songbirds, raptors, waterfowl, mammals and even the occasional reptile!

On average, the Wildlife Department sees approximately 1,200 wild creatures each year, with a recovery and release rate of around 50%.
