Clinic/Front Office Aid

Service Identification | Reports to Clinic Manager and/or Office Manager.

Goals of this position | To help maintain office and/or clinic organization. This is accomplished by filing, answering telephones, putting together informational packets and assisting customers.

Essential Functions | Participating in an active, fast-paced environment. Working as part of a team. Answering telephones wtih enthusiasm and finding correct answers for customers. Putting together informational packets, filing paperwork and handling various other duties.

Responibilities | The duties include (but are not limited to) the following:

  1. Responding to customer questions on the telephone.
  2. Organizing records and filing them accordingly.
  3. Helping and working with customers in person.
  4. Aiding other employees with their particular projects.

Restrictions | A Clinic/Front Office Volunteer is restricted from the following:

  1. Giving animal or medical advice, or adoption counseling to customers/guests.
  2. Entering unauthorized areas without permission.
  3. Feeding animals or giving treats without permission.
  4. Handling cleaning supplies, treatments or lotions.
  5. Working with wildlife or livestock.
  6. Adopting a pet within the first 3 months of service.
  7. No one may volunteer unless then have attended both orientations, therefore a volunteer may not bring any guests while they are volunteering for NHS.
