The Nevada Humane Society asks volunteers to make a six month commitment of at least four to sixteen hours per month depending upon the area of service. Minimum age is 14. Volunteer shifts are 10 am to 4 pm Monday through Sunday. Some evening hours may be involved if volunteering for special events.

In the last few months we have been extremely lucky to experience an outpouring of generosity from people who have signed on as volunteers at the shelter!  All of us would like to thank and recognize these caring and helpful individuals who assist in the kennels, office, and clinic.

Volunteers are needed for the following Departments:

• Foster Care Support
• K-9 Headstart Trainer
• Special Events Support
• Clinic/Front Office Aid
• Animal Socialization
