As a last resort, Nevada Humane Society accepts pets from residents of Washoe County who can no longer keep them.
You will be asked to fill out a surrender form and sign a legal release of ownership. The surrender fee is $25.00 per adult animal or litter.
Please call before bringing your pet to us. We may be able to assist you with other placement options, offer solutions to behavior problems, or help to get your pet spayed or neutered so that you will be able to keep him or her.
You may also want to visit our Obedience & Behavior section for information to help you address any problems you may be experiencing.
